From 1904 to 1917, German Fritz Weiss and his wife Hedwig traveled through China, capturing the real landscapes and customs of Southwest China in the early 20th century through their camera lenses. Their grandson, now an elderly professor, will retrace his grandparents' journey through China and Sichuan, continuing the century-long relationship between China and Germany, while showcasing China's rapid development over the last century and the various aspects of Chinese modernization.
