Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation (JSBC) was established in June 2001, with 10 television channels and13 radio channels  launched, including 2 satellite channels, 6 free channels covering the whole of Jiangsu Province, 1 digital paid channel covering the whole of China, and 1 overseas international channel. It also owns the Nanjing Film Factory, Audio-Visual Publishing House, newspapers, magazines, websites, schools, etc.

The Documentary Department of JSBC is a professional institution engaged in documentary creation . It has produced a series of national-level documentary projects,  including "Meylanfang," "600 Years of Kunqu Opera," "Grand Canal of China," "Marco Polo," " "Painter from Milan in the Forbidden City," "Eastern Front,"  "Scars of NanKing". These projects have won numerous prestigious awards, including the Golden Eagle Award of China TV, the Starlight Award of China TV, Radio, Film and Television Award, the Ten Best and Excellent Documentaries of China TV,  the Asian Television Award, and the Daytime Emmy Award of the US.
